Tips to Optimize your Body Temperature Detection System

#1 INSTALL INDOORS

SpeedFace+ accuracy relies on constant air temperature and is not outdoor rated. Some environmental factors that might cause damage to the device include…

-Direct sunlight

-Wind

-Dust

-Rain

#2 LIGHT EXPOSURE

Avoid installing SpeedFace+ near windows. Direct sunlight may affect temperature accuracy.

#3 ROOM TEMPERATURE

Avoid installing SpeedFace+ where room temperature may vary. SpeedFace+ works best in a 60 – 90°F controlled room.

If the temperature cannot be controlled, recalibrate SpeedFace+ accordingly.

#4 INSTALLATION HEIGHT

Americans average 5 foot 7 inches in height. Install SpeedFace+ to accommodate the average height of your users.

#5 DISTANCE

For optimal SpeedFace+ temperature accuracy, instruct users to position their faces within 18 inches from the device.

#6 BODY TEMPERATURE CONSIDERATION

Intense exercise or hot summer air can elevate a person’s temperature. Likewise, cold weather air can lower a body’s temperature. Prior to SpeedFace+ scanning, users should be instructed to wait a moment until their body temperature acclimates to the room temperature.

#7 MULTIPLE DEVICES

Customers with high foot traffic may need multiple SpeedFace+ devices that are installed a minimum of 3 feet apart from one another. ZKBioSecurity management software can support up to 8,000 SpeedFace+ devices.

#8 USER COOPERATION

Lastly and most importantly, body-temperature accuracy depends on user cooperation. Users should be instructed on where to stand, how to position their face, remove any facial accessories (i.e. headbands, dark glasses, hats), and push their hair aside if it covers the user’s forehead.
